Best answer:

Answer by Lsjdf
If you have never played tennis in your life, the chances of you going pro are not good.

However, I started playing when I was 13 and I play USTA tournaments year round with good results… (I’m 17 now). Practice a lot and you can get good.

I’m going into the tenth grade, 15 years old, weigh 98 pounds, and 5 foot 7 inches tall. My dad made me feel bad the other day about playing sports, now I want to show him how interested I am in sports. I like football, softball, tennis, baseball, and badminton. I desire most to play baseball. I am learning how to play tennis and badminton now, but none the rest. I would like advice on how I could gain more weight, exercises to get stronger, get in shape, learn how to play baseball mostly but will take advice on all others, and show my dad that I am really interested in sports now. I will take any advice. Please help me!!!!!!

***Bookmark this question! Part 3 to come next week.***
Also, what are some websites with info on how to play baseball?
I need more info!!!!! Tell your friends to answer my question!! Please and Thanks!!!!

Best answer:

Answer by Robb D
Eat food more, buy a set of weights, make a schedule with different times to run, swim, bike, whatever you do for exercise. Get a Tee or a Hit-Away to practice your swing. Get some one to hit you groundballs, fly balls, line drives to practice some defense. If you pitch have a catcher set up behind th plate and pitch to him. And you should probably have someone pitch to you as well to work on timing anfd seeing different pitches.

Question by : What are some good teen fitness skills?
I’m not in very good shape and I’m 13. I try to do 100 jumping jacks when I wake up, but i’d also like to do a lot more. Since summer is coming up, i’ll have more time to exercise and get outside. Is there any good things to do besides jogging a lot and doing sports? I’m learning how to play hockey and tennis this summer. 10 points to best answer and 2 to whoever tries. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Top Source
“Not in shape” is vague.

It’s good you made the start w/ exercise you do.

Jogging & brisk walking are among the best ways to burn excess bod fat and build aerobic capacity which you will need for hockey & tennis There’s also jump rope.

To build muscle, weight training is best. You could get a pair of free wt dummbells and do many good exercises @ home. Always wear steel-toed footwear around free wts.

Question by somone s: Can I be good at tennis still?
So I haven’t played tennis much in my life but in April I got myself a trainer and he tought me some stuff but I was only with him for like 4 one hour sessions. However I did learn the hits I need to know I just need to practice them. I am planning on getting a trainer and doing it twice a week with him for 1 hour. I am going into my freshman year and I want to play good when tennis starts in March. Can I still be a pretty good player?

Best answer:

Answer by The Master of Ballantrae
Depends how good you want to be. If you want to be a competent social player, get in as much practice as you can. If you want to compete at club level, you will need to put in a lot more practice, and if you want to be a professional, then dedicate your life. Two hours a week simply isn’t enough to make you anything but a decent social player.
