Question by boho chic: Any pilates studio near ucsf, sunset district in sf?
i work 12 hours or more in a day in the medical area, always go to the gym and also learning to play tennis and more. i’d like to keep my physical activities interesting to keep things going.
so if anyone knows a pilates studio very close to ucsf in the sunset disrtict of san francisco, that will be great!

This is a university video-project made by “Game Design”-students from munich. Done in a single-shot fashion…well almost single shot =) The film covers different eras of the video-game history. I want to start playing ten is,and I was going to try out for our school tennis team,but my friend said he only watches the really good players and tends to overlook the non experienced,she told me to make sure I try extra hard to get noticed BUT I don’t even know how to play tennis.this is my first year to try for it.so if anyone can give me tips on how to learn tennis etc I would be much happy

Answer by tennisman Do you play any other sports? If tennis is your first sport, it is quite difficult for a person to learn if he does not have any athletic coordination.
If not, then finding a coach is definitely a start. A coach will give you the basic instructions of tennis, and later the rules. Drilling on the specifics over time will improve your techniques really quickly depending on how hard you train. Training everyday, I would estimate 3 months for you to rally with novice players, and depending on how competitive your school is, you should be able to make the team.

i was thinking of bying a tennis racquet beacuse i want to learn how to play tennis but i dont which raquet i should buy im around 5’1 and 5 feet tall (im not that big) i notice that there was a bunch of different sizes too

Answer by koladj Wilson has many types of racquets that are good for beginners. You could also go to a tennis shop and try holding the racquets and see which feel comfortable because you don’t want one that is too heavy or too light.

Answer by gold Try taking a course, that really helped me improve when i first started. They teach you the basics of tennis and everything. Also try looking in google for websites that can teach you how.

Answer by Khoa I am an instructor at UCLA recreation. We have a lot of classes for various levels of players. We have hourly instructional classes where we work on specific techniques, and also two hour workout classes where we teach using tennis games and drills.
