I am doing tennis next year and I wanted to learn the basics. How do you play tennis? What are the rules?

Question by yanamaria:).: I am doing tennis next year and I wanted to learn the basics. How do you play tennis? What are the rules?
Okay, I have never played tennis ever before in my life. Everyone at my school says that it is fun, so I want to play next year. In order to play, you have to at least know how to play. So, how do you play tennis? Are there certain things that you need to know? Is there a website that I can look at that will inform me of how to play?

I just want to know things about tennis.

well… The rules are complicated.

But I will explain a great way to practice.

find a great big wall, and play tennis with it. It really works!

It trains you to control the ball, hit it and it has served me wonders.

I want to start playing tennis?

Question by SERENA ☮: I want to start playing tennis?
I’m 14, and turning 15 in a few weeks and I was wondering if it was possible to start learning how to play tennis over the summer and be good enough to make it on Varsity Tennis at school within a year?

I have the sudden urge to play tennis now, and I realized that I need to be way more active :)

Also is Prince a good brand?

Best answer:

Answer by Jessica
Yah it is possible to make but you would have to practice a lot, and try to get tennis lessons. Also if you know people that are really good on varsity get them to hit with you.

And yes Prince is a good brand.

no you should not quit school because even the some great players who have been playing since they could hold a racquet don’t make it in the pros and First off I think you should discuss this with your parents or guardians and next off you had better know what you are doing and you have to have an extreme amount of talent and know that you will never give up because if you don’t have the drive to keep going you won’t get anywhere. Its a huge life decision that will take a long time for you to think things through. If you don’t make it as a pro and you don’t even have a high school degree there are very few places that would hire you except McDonald’s and no one wants to work there. Good luck hope things work out.

I have only been playing tennis occasionally for about a year. I really want to start and learn it this summer. You think I could play it at school? What other stuff can I learn and play by next year? I am really getting in to sports now, and yes I know its a little late.
