Learning to Play Tennis

Question by Anna: is learning how to play tennis really hard?
i was wondering how hard it was to learn how to play tennis because i was thinking about playing on our schools jr. high team. i played volleyball for two years and i was pretty good at it but i wanted to try some thing new this year….. so is it hard to play tennis, what are the rules for the game, and how do you pick out a racket to use

the hardest thing about tennis is “coordination”
1) the first few times your going to miss the ball
2) when you do hit the ball – it goes left or right (not straight)
3) then you need power in hitting – your ball hits the ground
4) when you have enough power – it hits the net
5) then you have too much power – it goes over the guys head like a home-run

as far as getting a racket ?…go into a sporting goods store and get something halfway decent
