Question by : What string type should I get? Should I just get a different racquet?
I am a sophomore in highschool currently and I just made it into Varsity this year. I just learned how to play tennis a year ago and I got put in JV. I was a beginner, didnt know anything about tennis so I chose a random racquet and decided to go with it, and I ended up getting a Wilson K Factor Zen Team FX 103. I came a long way from where I used to be and I dont know if this racquet is for me. I have played with this racquet for a year, and I am comfortable with it. Now, I can hit a fairly powerful forehand, and can slice really well. However, i recently palyed with my friend and tried his racquet and I could slice sooooo much easier with his racquet. I played with another friend of mine’s racquet and his racquet hit really powerful (more than mine). Which got me to wonder, is this racquet for me? Or should I just get different strings?
Extra Info:
Controll or Power: Controll.
Heavy or Light: Definently not Light. I prefer medium but ive never played with a Heavy racquet before so i dont know if ill be good at it, who knows?
Informatino on my Current Racquet:

You will be getting a lot of answers to this question with all sorts of people recommending this or that racquet. And they are recommending because they truly love that racquet.
But what racquet you want is up to you. Go to a decent tennis store and demo some racquets.
Now you are a young, growing kid. You will be growing a lot in the next few years and your racquet needs will change a lot. The KZen 103 is a great racquet for lower level players. But to get to the next level you need a racquet with a thinner more flexible frame and also need a heavier racquet so you can swing harder with more control. But which depends on you and on your budget.
There is a good web site – www.justtennis.net that has a lot of good lower price racquets.
